Talia Whyte currently runs the editorial operations for DigiActive, an all-volunteer organization dedicated to helping grassroots activists around the world use the Internet and mobile phones to increase their impact. Marjane Nakello and Peter Lee are helping to develop a multimedia presentation using video and blogs for People to People Jamaica. Established in 1999, People to People Jamaica is a network of descendents from the Jamaican diaspora working to improve the lives of those living on the island and elsewhere for progressive social reform through grassroots community activism.
Talia Whyte and Marjane Nakello are helping the Somali Journalists Rights Agency (SOJRA) with their Facebook activism. SOJRA promotes press freedom in Somalia by defending the rights of journalists to report the news without fear of reprisal. www.sojra.org
