As we previously announced here, we will be doing trainings in Africa and the Middle East this fall, and we anticipate some great exchanges of knowledge, social justice, and best of all, international fellowship!
In the meantime, we have also gotten more requests to do workshops that specifically deal with the best practices of video activism. We are looking into doing those workshops in early 2011. Over the years, we have shown you countless examples of the power of web video. We want you to tell us some of your thoughts on how video has changed the human rights conversation and the future of social movements. Please send us your thoughts at info (at) globalwireonline (dot) org. Three people with the best thoughts will not only get their ideas published here on our website in the next few weeks, but will also receive a free Flip UltraHD. The GWA staff and consultants love using this Flip camera because of its ease of use and video quality, and we hope that if you are lucky to get a free one from us, it will be used to help further our mission of peaceful online activism. The deadline to send in your thoughts is Thursday, September 30.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
