We have spent the last nine months discussing the importance of e-waste awareness and proper management. Now it is your turn to tell us how you are recharging e-waste in your lives. What do you do with used electronics in your home or workplace when they are no longer useful? Are you properly recycling? Donating or reselling them to others? How are you educating others in your life about the global e-waste problem? Tell us your “recharging” stories in a email to info (at) globalwireonline (dot) org by Friday, November 30, 2012. The best stories will not only be republished on this site, but writers of the selected stories will be given a free, refurbished iPod Nano – no, not the new one – and one free consultation with a GWA staff member.
Global Wire Associates is also ready to take requests for trainings and consultations for January – April 2013.
Check out our updated Services page to see how we can best serve you. Based on the requests and ideas we have been receiving lately, a good number of you are interested in us focusing more on mobile activism, basic social media training and especially innovative entrepreneurship. We are available to do both in-person meetings and web conferences conducted in English with non-English translation whenever possible. We can also customize any trainings for different skill levels.
By the end of this year, we will have hosted dozens of trainings and consultations in 23 countries with over 2,600 people in attendance.
All we need you to do is send us an email at info (at) globalwireonline (dot) org with training/consultation requests and fee schedules by Friday, December 7, 2012. Any training/consultation requests received after that date will be looked at on a first come, first serve basis based on time availability and other logistical concerns.
(Please Note: We reserve the right to cancel or postpone in-person trainings or consultations based on travel warnings issued by the US Department of State.)
This is also your opportunity to tell us how we are doing. Tell us what you would like us to do for you in the new year. What digital tools for social change would you like to learn more about? What topics would you like to see featured on this site in 2013.
Thanks again and we look forward to working with you in the new year!
Sincerely,
Talia, Marjane, Philip and Maria
