Space technology is usually not the first thing one thinks of when dealing with disasters in the developing world, but that is changing. SERVIR – ISS Benefits for Humanity – is a joint program of NASA and USAID that works with poor countries recovering from natural and man-made problems through satellite on the International Space Station (ISS).
ISS revolves around Earth multiple times a day, taking images of 90 percent of the populated terrain.
Technology has not limits.
