Here at Global Wire Associates, we value both our employees and clients who come from around the world and share our vision of making communication accessible to all. We are following the latest news regarding President Trump’s pending executive order banning immigrants and refugees from Muslim-majority countries. The order would have an immediate and direct impact on GWA staff members who travel frequently to the United States to provide the highest quality of service to our clientele. Also, a large number of our clientele are immigrants and refugees who left their home countries to find a better life. As a matter of fact, this company started out 12 years ago providing basic computer literacy classes and media development training to immigrants, refugees, low-income communities, the disabled and other groups of people who generally don’t have access to technology. In support of this necessary work, Global Wire Associates will continue to monitor the developments of this order and do everything necessary in our position to make sure we pursue the mission of our organization by standing in solidarity with all immigrants and refugees.
Many of you have contacted us since this became a possible concern last January. If any such ban or similar policy were to go into effect, we will plan our services and programs accordingly to both abide by the order and serve our customers from Muslim-majority countries using alternative methods.
If you have any questions about how a potential executive order could affect you and our services, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@globalwireonline.org.
Sincerely,
Talia Whyte
